FAQ

Q1. How early can I arrive?

The arrival date is Monday 11th of July but if you need to come earlier please contact Debbie Secretary MGAI, via email: Irishmga@gmail.com or debbiemgaireland@gmail.com 

Q2. Are shaving supplied?

All stables are bedded with shavings on arrival. Further shavings will be available to purchase on site.

Q3. Is there hay/haylage supplied? 

No, both are available to purchase on site.

Q4. What is the theme for the Gala Ball?

The theme is a "formal Irish celebration". (Suit and Tie)

Q5. Do I need a band to be on site?

For security reasons every person must have a band on site. On arrival come to the administrations office and collect your band. 
People will be turned away from the on site facilities without bands.

Q6. Is there corralling allowed on site?

No corralling allowed unless a vet cert is produced. Note the corralling will be located a significant distance from the camp site.

Q7. Are dogs allowed on site?

Yes, dogs are allowed on site but must be on a lead at all times!

Q8. What pony vaccinations do I need to travel?

They must have up-to-date vaccinations on their passports (ie. the primary and secondary flu & tet, with an annual booster)

Q9. Can I get another stable?

Yes, but additional stables will cost an additional fee.

Q10. Do I need a shower token to use the showers?

Yes, every one is entitled to one free token per shower. Additional tokens for a shower will be available @ €1 each.
They are needed for hot water when showering. The reason for this is there is a limited number of tokens available

Q11. Do I need any export papers when leaving Ireland?

Yes, the following teams would require an EU Health Certificate if longer than 10 days:
Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Germany and Italy.

Q12. What about waste water from lorries etc?
As all lorries/campers/caravans are on hard core/tarmac you will need a bucket for your waste water to deposit in the drains.

Q13. Will there be breathalyzing carried out during the competition?
Yes breathalyzing tests will be carried out during the week.
